It's been awhile since I've had the joy of attending school. During my time in the architecture school at UK's CoD I strived to challenge myself, choosing the most challenging studios each semester, pushing myself to find my boundaries and move past them. I focused on digital media and traveling. Digital media was a natural strength for me, and traveling provided perspective on cultures outside of my own. I hope to continue with both as I move through life.

Looking back on the interests and goals I listed in my portfolio at the time of my graduation, I am happy to see that my interests have proven to be fruitful, and I have held true to those goals, here's an excerpt from my 2008 portfolio:

"I want to create worlds. I love the virtual environment, new technology, and learning new things. I learn as much as I can as often as I can. I like to find better ways of doing things, often teaching myself new tool-sets to do so. In my personal time I love to read, to meditate in silence, and to experience nature, as well as watch movies, and play video games. I listen well, learn quickly, and work productively. I practice martial arts, and like to ride my bike to work. I especially love poetry, and architecture, which to me are the same thing.

My goals are aimed at finding new ways to think of, and create, architecture and design. I love to work in the freedom of digital media, as well as the feel of pencil on paper. Process interests me because it is so dynamic to each project and each designer. Creating greater accessibility to architecture and design, both understanding and experience, is a personal passion and a long term goal."
