Photography

always

Photography is a childhood love for me. I remember my first camera. It was yellow, and rectangular. I have fond memories of hiking with my parents in the woods taking pictures of mushrooms and raindrops. I wish I had those pictures today, but my house burned down as a child. Now I only have vague, if even real, memories.

The thing about memories is that they are notorious for rewriting themselves with time, even with photos to remind you. I've accepted that about myself, and enjoy the memories anyway, even if I don't know if they are accurate. I enjoy capturing moments in time in ways that tell a story, especially not an accurate one sometimes. I like those images with possibilities...potential for a variety of imaginative moments. Imagination is often our escape from the harsh reality of life. It's the world we want...our most intimate wish...our imagined history...our fond memories filtered from the chaos.

I'm not creating a gallery here, but instead share my Instagram feed where I post many of my favorite photos, and many of my "imaginative moments". For those I can print and sell, see my print shop.

Enjoy
